Term 4 DLO project | Make It Work

This term for inquiry we have been focusing on technology and we have been creating a project, we have also been creating a DLO video to go along with our projects. Our question we asked ourselves was: What could we create to improve life here at Point England School?

Throughout creating this project we had some difficulties, we were meant to create a bean bag but we couldn’t find a material stretchy enough to make a bean bag cover because if it wasn’t stretchy enough it would burst. So we ended up creating a miniature model of a McDonalds!

The captain of our group was Lynch and our co-captain was Hailey. And the members of our group were Lynch, Hailey, Manaia, Brooke, Ciannah and Te Manahi.

Our Highlight was having the opportunity to create something and cooperate with our friends to create a project. And our lowlight was filming in clips we didn’t want to be a part of but we had to because we were all a part of the group.

In conclusion we all enjoyed our term 4 inquiry topic and had a great time creating our projects even if they didn’t work out and go as planned.

Story about year 7 rainbow’s end trip

                                                                           – Rainbow’s end trip –

Yesterday on Tuesday the year 7 girls and boys went on a trip to rainbow’s end but before they went on the bus they had to solve a problem on how to take their bag to rainbow’s end. They decided who to choose who had to take there bag for the trip.

When they have done deciding they put their lunches in the chosen person with the biggest bag and stuffed all their food in there bag.Once they have finished they were ready to go on the bus with their group’s that the teacher that they have picked out.It took at least 20 minute to get to rainbow’s end and once we got to rainbow’s end there were other little and older kids from other schools in Auckland.

Also there were other little kids that were already inside but there were some nice people that had to check our bags if we had any sharp things, phones, or other things that are not allowed to be in the rainbow’s end. When they were done looking through our bags they put on green bands on our hand son that other people in inside of rainbow’s end knows that we are from another school and that we are allowed to be in it. Every group had an adult to take care of them our group had Chris Hiko He was a funny and fun guy to have and I’d like to thank him for that as well. There were Marzuli Feleti, Amindeep Singh, Raphael Puefua, Joseph Cramand Potifara, and Johnson Johnson.I think each group had 7 or more but there were 7 people in my group and had to get into 2 pers with your partner.I had Ciannah Farrell.

I was the first person to pick which ride we should go on and I chose the  360 Stratosfear ride when you go round like 4 times and it was so funny but some of us were scared and had anxiety about heights. Then me Ciannah Farrell, and Marzuli Feleti were doing a challenge who wouldn’t scream first and pretty much we all won. Then other people in my group got to choose what ride was next and then Mrs Latini Peato and Mr Zac Moran gave my group permission to go around and find our last ride and me and Ciannah Farrell choose go karts. We raced other schools and we won!!!!

After that we ate lunch and went back to school and everyone went home.

The enchanted forest

                                                                ★  The enchanted forest ★

Lilly of the Crystal Bloom Shimmer was a young girl who lived on the edge of an enchanted forest. The forest was said to be filled with magical creatures and hidden treasures, but few dared to venture too far inside.

One day, Lilly decided to explore the forest. She packed a bag with some food and water, and set off into the woods. As she walked deeper into the forest, she began to notice the trees around her were glowing with a soft, golden light. The air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers and the sound of birdsong.

As Lilly continued on her journey, she came across a clearing in the forest. In the centre of the clearing was a beautiful crystal bloom shimmering in the sunlight. Lilly approached the flower and reached out to touch it. As her fingers brushed against the petals, she felt a surge of energy flow through her body.

Suddenly, a voice spoke to her from within the flower. “You are the chosen one, Lily of the Crystal Bloom Shimmer,” the voice said. “You have been chosen to protect this enchanted forest from harm.”

Lilly nodded, feeling a sense of purpose wash over her. From that day forward, she devoted her life to protecting the forest and all the magical creatures that called it home. She became known as the protector of the enchanted forest, and her name was spoken with reverence and gratitude by all those who lived within its borders.

She had always been fascinated by the stories of magical creatures and hidden treasures that lay deep within the woods. One day, she decided to venture into the forest to see if the stories were true
